Description
This therapeutic crochet training class helps you learn a pleasurable skill with a lifelong opportunity for creative expression. Did you know that crocheting also has mental health benefits? Crochet is not just a skill, but as one comes to discover with time, a doorway to soul connections.
These classes are an encouraging and supportive environment that fosters a positive sense of community.
Our first project will be making a cotton dishcloth. We will use the three most basic stitches in crochet. Once the knowledge of these three stitches is gained, even absolute beginners will have the doors of creative potential opened to them.
Students will be able to make potholders, washcloths, and even lapghans with just these three stitches. And if you want, you can go on to more advanced works and styles.

About the Instructor
Tisha Vargas is a Crochet Therapist and creator of Marcellas' Pineapples, a program designed to teach the art of crochet and educate individuals about the health benefits and impact of being a practitioner. Her crochet journey began at age 9 watching her grandmother Marcella Ferguson work her magic with a small metal hook and skein of JP Coats and Clark. As Tisha watched her grandmother spin magical pineapple doilies, she became more and more inspired to learn how to wield a wand of her own. She has been crocheting for over 35 years. Her grandmother has passed, and now Tisha shares her grandmother’s legacy and the gift of crochet with others. It is Tisha’s heartfelt desire to keep the magic of crochet alive for generations to come while creating a safe space of love, encouragement, and support to provide individuals with a much-needed sense of community connection.
