BECOME AN ARTS AMBASSADOR TODAY!

Volunteer at The Arts Center

Volunteers are the backbone of AACA. Arts supporters can participate in a variety of means with different degrees of time commitment.

BECOME AN ARTS AMBASSADOR

We call our volunteers Arts Ambassadors. These ambassadors can:

  • Help with administrative tasks

  • Support "front of house" during events (pass out programs, sell concessions)

  • Host receptions and decorate for events

  • Build and paint set pieces

  • Lift heavy things

  • Join committees and offer strategic insight and help execute programs and events like our concert series and the Gala

  • Learn about and consider board service

THANK YOU TO OUR DECEMBER VOLUNTEERS!

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT

Emerson (Emmy) McKenzie

Emmy McKenzie stole our hearts as our original Annie in ACT's 2011 production and has continued to charm and wow us as she's grown up on the stage of The Arts Center.

Emmy is well known for her command performances in theatre (most recently as Miss Honey in Matilda and Mollie in The Mousetrap) and concerts (the photo above is from Friday's Mic Drop).

Emmy is also a quiet leader working behind the scenes to support production efforts and, mostly, her fellow volunteers, through coaching, mentorship, and encouragement.

She was a founding member of the (no longer active) Teen Advisory Board and has spent many summers supporting arts camps.

Recently, Emmy has come to the aid of AACA staff with front desk and event support as well as representing AACA in the community at events like MCHS's Career Fair.

Emmy is a breathing testament to the influence arts participation has on a person. What we really appreciate is how she uses her experience to inspire the next generation of budding artists
