Description

Using relaxation techniques, instructor Barbara Ensley shows students how to use mark making tools and brushes and color theory in a creative way. Then, students will combine these techniques to create original paintings. Experience not required; this class is more about how to have fun while making art and tapping into your own natural creativity and intuition.

About the Instructor

Barbara Ensley was born in the United States, but spent most of her childhood in the beautiful county of Cote d’Ivoire in West Africa. When she moved back permanently she decided to make Tennessee her home and met the love of her life while going to school for Art in Chattanooga. They joyfully started a family of four boys and she put her art on hold to be a stay-at-home mom, but the paints and brushes were never far away. She would often paint in the evening after the kids were in bed and found acrylics to not only be brightly colored but fast drying (something that is a plus with little kids). Now, for the first time in many years, all the children are all in school and she is back to creating art on a full time basis.
