Let’s talk about Black hair!

We’re seeking 15 or more Black women and girls, ages 8 to adult to be a part of a conversation about Black hair. There’s no stage or performing experience needed—and no memorization! This will be an easy introduction to creative storytelling.

Hot Comb, Honey? is the next instalment of the Conversations of Black Folk Series: The Hair Edition. Women participating will explore and share the differences and effects of Black hair styles from 1619 to today in a conversational setting. We’ll do this by taking the community on a engaging and enlightening tour of the evolution of Black hair and its relationship with identity. Just like ladies at the beauty shop!
