JURY & JUDGING PROCESS

Delivered works will be juried to ensure work is meets all criteria. Notice of acceptance status will be by April 1. Accepted works will be displayed for the duration of the exhibit and may not be removed for any reason.

Displayed entries will be judged by AACA host judge, Emily Greenquist. Judging will be “blind,” meaning the artists’ names will be hidden.

THIS YEAR’S JUDGE Emily Greenquist

Photographing since she was a teen, Emily Greenquist received her BFA in Photography from Brigham Young University - Idaho in 2011. Emily has lived and photographed all over the country and has now settled in East Tennessee since 2019.

CRITERIA

  1. All media and subject matter acceptable. But be aware – this show will be open to all ages at all times.

  2. All entries must have been shot and edited by the artist within the last two (2) years.

  3. You may enter up to 10 photographs (fees are $10 per digital entry and $5 per film entry).

  4. Professional and Amateur Divisions are in place for protection of amateur artists. Those who sell their work

    or take photos for profit qualify as professional. Amateurs may also compete in the Professional Division.

  5. Entry form, fee(s), and digital image deadline is March 29, 2024.

  6. Prints must be matted and/or framed and ready to hang for acceptance in show. Click here for detailed instructions to make sure your work is ready to exhibit.

HOW TO ENTER

Using one of the following methods, pay entry fees for each piece, up to ten photographs (fee must be received for work to be juried)

Using the confirmation email received after paying, click the link in the email to fill out the digital entry form and submit.

Registration is not complete until both payment and entry forms are received.

DELIVERY

  • Accepted works may be hand delivered to The Arts Center Thursday April 4 and Friday April 5 during regular business hours: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

PICK UP

  • Exhibited works must be picked up from The Arts Center Tuesday June 11, Thursday June 13, and Friday June 14 during regular business hours 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. ***Please note that we are NOT open on Wednesday 6/12***

    AACA is not responsible for artwork left after April 14, 2024.
